Birth to 3 months 
Everything to a baby is brand new. Using senses and developing motor abilities, a newborn reaches out, explores, and starts to figure out the “new” world. Infant playthings should nourish a young child’s innate curiousity and encourage repeat play. The newborn infant follows a sleep-wake-feed routine. They have limited eye focus, but an awareness of light and brightness.

4 to 6 Months
At this age, infants enjoy being propped up to view the world. They can hold up their heads and the day’s pattern now becomes a feed-sleep-play routine. Infants can recognize sounds and discriminate among sound and people. Education is about touching, squeezing, rattling, gumming and exploring.
