Developmental Stages:
2 to 3 years:
This age is very physical and more independent. They are aware of “me” and “mine” and “no”. They very often have strong opinions. Language is developing rapidly, and they have more continuity of play. They enjoy action toys that move and turn, as well as manipulative toys and pretend play. Pick toys that center around make-believe for children age 2 to 3 years. At this age, children learn how to use their imagination and love to imitate their parents and other adults. Fantasy and pretend play also allows children to invent and act out imaginary stories, dreams, and desires and enables them to express their own strong feelings in acceptable ways.

3 and 4 years
The preschool age is physically more agile and capable with an increased assertiveness and an expansion of mental activity. Verbal skills are increasing and they become more and more social. They engage in much imaginative play either alone or with other children.
